THRUSTER SUMMARY:
A110 is a 111 N (25 lbf), M20 bipropellant, radiatively-cooled thruster for spacecraft attitude control and ΔV maneuvers. The thruster includes two direct-acting, single-seat solenoid valves for fast startup and shutdown responses, a refractory-metal chamber and nozzle, and a low-dribble volume multi-element injector. The additively manufactured injector enables precision pulses of less than 5 milliseconds and high-performance steady-state operation.
A110 has undergone an extensive hotfire test campaign in the flight configuration, with a total on-time of 1200s+ seconds across a variety of test conditions.
A110 hotfire test in Agile Space Industries' 'Sunshine' Vacuum Test Stand. A 40s long hotfire test with 4.95 s on, 50ms off repeated pulses.
MISSIONS:
Astrobotic Griffin Lunar lander
ispace Mission 3 lunar lander spacecraft
Unnamed Test Vehicle
Agile is providing A110 thrusters for attitude control on the Astrobotic Griffin lander which is delivering the NASA Viper lunar rover to the moon in search of liquid water for the Artemins missions.
