THRUSTER SUMMARY:
The LE144 is a 144 N (32 lbf) Hydrazine/MON3 thruster. The LE144 achieves unprecedented performance and a wide operating envelope by using a novel micro-coaxial gas-gas injection scheme and an innovative regeneratively cooled combustion chamber geometry.
The LE144 can run in monopropellant mode, allowing total depletion of spacecraft propellant.
In hotfire testing the thruster has achieved 15,455 seconds of accumulated on time and an impressive maximum continuous burn time of 6,000 seconds over mixture ratios ranging from 0.8 to 1.6.
