Agile Space Industries Celebrates Durango Headquarters Expansion with Ribbon Cutting
20,500-square-foot expansion increases Agile’s office and manufacturing capacity to support continued growth in advanced space propulsion.

DURANGO, Colo. — 08.02.2026 — Agile Space Industries celebrated the completion of a 20,500-square-foot expansion of its Durango headquarters with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on August 26, joined by U.S. Senator John Hickenlooper, local leaders, community members and Agile employees.
The expansion brings Agile’s headquarters at 820 Airport Road to approximately 40,000 square feet of combined office and manufacturing space, more than doubling the facility’s previous 19,500-square-foot footprint. Construction began in January and was completed in July.
The expansion comes as Agile continues to grow its workforce and operations in Durango. Its previous facilities were no longer sufficient to support its office and manufacturing operations at the capacity needed for continued growth. The company currently employs 167 people companywide, including 124 in Durango. Agile has hired 77 employees over the past 12 months, reflecting continued growth across the organization.

Chris Pearson, Agile CEO, said, “The opening of the expanded Durango facility is crucial to support our continued growth. By year-end, the business will have grown more than four-fold since 2022, and the expanded footprint shows our commitment to our HQ here in Colorado while growing our presence in Oklahoma and Washington.”
The new space is predominantly dedicated to office space, with approximately 1,500 square feet set aside for quality inspection. The expansion also frees up Agile’s existing 19,500-square-foot facility for substantially greater manufacturing capacity. Previously, approximately 11,000 square feet of the existing facility was dedicated to manufacturing.
The expansion adds approximately 8,000 square feet of manufacturing space, which will support new cleanroom facilities, a larger machine shop, and expanded in-house capabilities, including vibration testing and other manufacturing capabilities. Bringing vibration testing in-house will reduce Agile’s reliance on outside vendors and help accelerate development and production timelines. A new climate-controlled inspection room will support higher-precision measurement and quality control. This supports Agile’s dedication to continuous improvement in quality and reliability with flight hardware.
The expanded facility reflects the acute need for fast and reliable propulsion solutions in the aerospace industry. It gives Agile additional capacity to support its rapidly growing workforce and need for expanded manufacturing operations. Agile is committed to supporting its local Durango community while continuing to develop, manufacture, and deliver advanced propulsion solutions for customers across the space industry.

The August 26 ribbon-cutting ceremony included remarks from community and government leaders, a ceremonial ribbon cutting, and facility tours. Approximately 30–40 guests and 100 Agile employees attended the event, with attendees given an opportunity to tour the expanded office, manufacturing, and inspection areas.
